Youth Group

A youth club designed to engage young people (Grade 6 and up / 12yrs+) in positive activities, skill development, and community service.

A supportive environment where youth can socialize, learn new skills, participate in recreational activities, and build leadership qualities.

The club aims to create a lively environment where youth can relax, enjoy themselves, and build lasting connections.

Fostering a sense of community, emphasize respect for Polish traditions, encouraging leadership and personal development, inspiring young people to become active, engaged citizens who contribute positively to both their community and society at large.

Team Building & Leadership

Through team activities, mentorship, and community projects, our youth will learn the importance of empathy, adaptability, and resilience, empowering them to become confident leaders who can inspire others and positively contribute to their community and cultural heritage.

Activities, Trips, & Social Time

The Polish Alliance of Canada - Barrie Youth Club is a vibrant and dynamic space where fun, trips, and social time are at the heart of its activities. The club offers young members exciting excursions, cultural outings, and social events that foster friendship, laughter, and shared experiences.

Registration & Consent Form

All teens and young adults (Grade 6 and up) are welcome to join the Youth Group!

Please note:

  • Participants under 18 years old must be registered by a guardian or parent.
  • A consent form must be signed for each participating child.
  • If multiple youth members from your family are joining, please complete a separate form for each child.
  • If you have any questions or concerns, please contact John (Jasiu) Zurakowski via email at info@poloniawsimcoe.ca.

The Youth Group will be posting events and activity information on this website, facebook page as well as in our private WhatsApp group chat. In addition we may communicate through text message, telephone and email.

Consent and Authorization

I, the undersigned, hereby declare and affirm that:

I am the adult/parent/legal guardian of the youth named above (hereinafter referred to as "Child/Teen"), who is under my care and responsibility. This permission consent will serve as a permanent consent and authorization form for all on and off-property events & activities with the Polish Alliance of Canada - Barrie Youth Group. For any events outside Polish Alliance of Canada - Barrie or events/venues that involve greater than normal risks (such as water activities, zip lines, private venues), an additional waiver maybe be required from the 3rd party venue.

In the event of an emergency, the Polish Alliance of Canada - Barrie Youth Staff will make every effort to contact the parent or guardian immediately.

My "Child/Teen" named above, has my permission to participate in any regularly scheduled youth group events, as planned by the Polish Alliance of Canada - Barrie Youth Group. I understand that this may include swimming in both public and private pools, hiking activities, beach trips, and other field trips. I realize that transportation may be given by the Polish Alliance of Canada (van/bus) or by private drivers.

Additionally, I give my consent to the Polish Alliance of Canada - Barrie Staff and Youth Supervisors to seek all emergency medical care prescribed by a licensed physician for my child. I assume the responsibility for my child’s participation in youth programs supervised by adult or authorized young adults and will not hold Polish Alliance of Canada - Barrie, nor its Staff or supervisors, liable for any illness or injury incurred at Youth Group activities at which every reasonable precaution has been taken.
